As one walks into the restaurant, its expanse and decor almost make you fall in love with the place. The restaurant is huge and can house up to 250 people. The wood work on the ceiling and the artistic jaali work defines the beauty of the space. With huge glass jars filled with Indian lentils and grains and brass bells hanging from the ceiling, the place exudes tradition and culture. It has a live kitchen and also a chaat bar for those who love street food.
Kheer, as the name suggests is quintessentially Indian in its magnificent decor and luscious flavours. Roseate House New Delhi’s Indian restaurant, Kheer assembles the choicest flavours from the streets to traditional homes to regal palaces, in its delicious ambit.
The dishes served at Kheer are Indian, but they have been given a special touch by a team of experienced chefs. For example, the Murg Malai Tikka looks black in colour and has a smokey flavour due to activated charcoal added to it. Similarly, Jalebi Chaat has round jalebis topped with curd and spices. Some of the simplest dishes like Bhaji which are crispy onion rings and Butta, the desi corn on cob, Golgappa with cranberry paani, Tandoori Paneer Tikka with a hint of apricot and Pizza Naan which eventually becomes the favourite of every kid, give a unique culinary experience.
Other must-try dishes here include-Chawk ki Tikki, which will remind you of the best roadside tikki chaats, Chukandar Chilgoze ki Tikki, Hare Matar ki Tikki, Murg Zamin Doz, Silbatte ki Shaami, Kasundi Macchi, Paneer Khatta Pyaz, Murg Kolhapuri, Lagan ka Murg, Nadru Palak and Malabar Prawn.
Here, the must-try desserts are Gil-e-Firdaus which is a bottle gourd pudding, Ras Kheer-a Jaggery Pudding, Gulkand Kulfi, Badam Cake and Malai Tart which is sugar-free.
Another striking thing about the place is its warm hospitality. Not just Amit Sharma, the manager and hospitality in-charge who personally interacts with all the guests but even the serving staff is extremely courteous and professional. They take a personal interest in each and every customer.
With distanced seating arrangement and operating in half capacity, the restaurant is following all COVID protocols. For a memorable gastronomical experience, Kheer is worth a visit.
